Hearings - Public Hearing - Empowering women entrepreneurs and investors - 19-04-2021 - Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality 06-04-2021 04:51 PM CEST On Monday, 19 April 2021, the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM), will organize the Public Hearing on "Empowering EU supports for women entrepreneurs and investors, including through MFF 2021-2027". Improving gender equality and empowering female entrepreneurship are key to accelerating and fortifying European recovery. Women's participation in the labour market and their entrepreneurship create new jobs and boost the EU economy. The invited speakers are: - Birgit WEIDEL, Head of Unit on SMEs, DG for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, European Commission - TBC - Shiva Dustdar, Head of Innovation Finance Advisory Division at European Investment Bank - Claire Munck, CEO BeAngels and Managing Partner ScaleFund - Jara Pascual, CEO of Collabwith as well as Co-founder and Managing Director of the Wominvest Observatory This hearing will feed into a future own-initiative report on "Reaching women's economic independence through entrepreneurship and self-employment".
